Welcome to St Mary’s, Church of England (Voluntary Aided), Middle School

Puddletown Middle SchoolThank you for taking the time to visit our website – we hope you find it both useful and informative.

St Mary’s is a 9 –13 Middle School situated on the outskirts of Puddletown, five miles east of the county town of Dorchester, in the beautiful Dorset countryside.

In April 2007, St Mary’s was awarded Specialist School status for Science and Maths, in recognition of the outstanding results achieved in these subjects in Key Stage 3 national tests.

The School’s broad aim is to enable every child to reach his or her potential and develop as confident and self-assured individuals.

At St Mary’s we encourage and expect the highest standards in both academic work and behaviour. Self-discipline, respect and concern for others, good manners, hard work and the determination to succeed are the foundations of our educational philosophy.

The values of respect, forgiveness, justice, uniqueness, equality, acceptance and love are the foundations of our ethos and our practice.
